Brad Wilkerson anyone?

The guy just got out of shoulder surgery, but has LF for him in a OF where he is probably the best (and safest option). He was everyones sleeper last year and could thrive on a year no one is paying attention to him.

Thoughts?

i dont think you would need to worry about drafting him, but I would definitely watch his first week or two and consider him then.

If you think there's a good chance of his upside (I was very excited for him to come to Texas) then the way I see it you might as well draft him. Of course most of the leagues I play in have pretty deep benches.

Is he a full-time player still?

I know Texas has quite a few OF's don't they?

Ive seen him as the regular LF in most of the depth charts. The other OF's arent as convincing enough to push him away. Lofton, Nelson Cruz, Sammy Sosa, Catalanotto, Jerry Hairston, Marlon Byrd are the other options leaving Lofton in CF, Cruz in RF battling with Sammy, Cat at DH, splitting time with Sammy, Jerry as backup for Kinsler in 2B but could play OF and Byrd as backup for Lofton. They also have Jason Botts but I see him more as a 1B backup, but could play OF too. He gets the majority of ABs on LF

I think he will hurt more than help.

I think I'll pass on a below average outfielder in a crowded outfield in RFK. One of the worst situations anyone could be in.

Strikes out way too much and is as brittle as an 80-year-old man.

I would pass on drafting him. He was a sleeper for me last 2 years. And of course didn't cut it.
