I'm playing two this year. One a keeper, and one a dynasty. IMO more than that would be way too hard to keep up with all year round.

Two competitive keeper leagues, one with friends, one with co-workers.

And I like to do one or two Yahoo publics. Honestly, I just get a kick out of tweaking the autodraft rankings and seeing what I get, but they can be a good tuneup.

I've found that extra leagues can be helpful. Hunting for free agents in one league can uncover a guy you should add in another.

I normally do 4

1 10 team h2h

1 12 team h2h

1 16 team h2h redraft

1 20 team dynasty h2h

I joined the Cafe's h2h world series this year.

There's been very little manager turnover in these leagues. We have some nice rivalries going.

I've only worked 1 job the last couple years, so I have a lot of time to keep up.
All the leagues have a couple differences in the settings.
