The Red Sox have decided to leave co-closer Byung-Hyun Kim off their roster for the ALCS against the Yankees. Kim blew a ninth-inning lead in game one of the ALDS against the A’s and then flipped off booing Red Sox fans before game three at Fenway. He later apologized, but the blown save combined with his gesture and past history against the Yankees (while with the Diamondbacks in the 2001 World Series) led to the change.
Todd Jones was added to the BoSox roster along with Jeff Suppan. Scott Williamson will likely get the first crack at any save situations.
