Pantera by a landslide and Cowboys From Hell doesn't fall close to even being considered Pantera's best album. CFH was Pantera at its thrashiest and this is where Phil Anselmo had more of a tone akin to a NWOBHM vocalist, which I think didn't suit him as well compared to Vulgar Display of Power and beyond. Cemetery Gates and Domination are my favorites from this album, but I think Far Beyond Driven was the band's most complete album in my opinion. Vulgar Display of Power has the best consecutive set: Mouth Of War, A New Level, Walk, F***ing Hostile, This Love, and Rise, but the rest of it was filler in my opinion up until By Demons Be Driven and Hollow. FBD was Pantera at its heaviest and finest from pillar to post (save for the Planet Caravan cover which was a refreshing ending to FBD), without the eerie grooves which are quite prominent in Southern metal that you find in The Great Southern Trendkill.
