The Rockies now have a surplus of reserve OF with Choo and Sullivan along with Baker who could be combinded in another deal. I really think Baker could start on another team.

This is an awesome move for the Rox's

I'm pscyhed...until last year everyone sweated Taveras because of his speed...

He'll do great in Coors...We have a pretty quick young lineup now!

I must be dreaming! Seriously, this is great news.

Dan O'Dowd, you are my hero for today. This is a great move for the Rox in my opinion.

I think Taveras could do well at Coors. I love his speed, and it gives the Rockies two legitimate stealing threats in Taveras and Matsui. Plus his defense is very good.

Buchholz looks like he could be a good young pitcher, and was the Astros #1 prospect in 2004.

Hirsh - enough said. The creme de la creme of the deal.

I wonder if the Rockies will non-tender Josh Fogg? If they do, I'd expect both Buchholz and Hirsh in the rotation to start the year.

I can't believe they got Hirsh!

he's 6'8 and was 13-2 last year in AAA with a 2.10 era...wowo what a great deal for the Rox's happy dance!! ;-D

This makes the Pettite non-signing over $2 million look even more stupid.

Yeah, and you wouldn't expect this from them either. They certianly weren't penny pinchers when they signed Clemens for three straight years to massive contracts.
