I saw Breach last night, that was pretty good. It seemed like they probably dramatized the events a lot, but the dialogue was pretty good. Definitely worth watching.

I would give it a 7.5 or 8 out of 10.

Wouldn't it mean you're in the loop now? ;-)

I saw it a while back though and liked it a lot. You start to get a feel for the movie then poof, something insane happens. Don't want to mention any part in particular though if some haven't seen it.

Pan's Labryinth- 9.5 out of 10

This is a movie I have been wanting to see very, very badly, and I finally made it this weekend. I was expecting a fantasy film set during wartime. In reality, it's the other way around. Pan's Labryinth a bloody, violent war film with a good healthy touch of fantasy. Luckily, the war story that drives the film is also very interesting.

The girl's fantasy(?) world is beautiful and at several places grisly and grotesque. I would have liked to have seen more of the grotesque fantasy worlds because they were fascinating.

This movie scared the $#%@ out of my wife. You should definitely take your woman. ;-D

FYI, it's in spanish with english sub-titles.

Marie Antoinette- 2/10

I had to see this after my wife saw the above film with me. Marie Antoinette is absolute misery. Avoid at all costs. She doesn't even get be-headed at the end! What's up with that?! :-P

This is an ok movie on its own, but if you're a big fan of the first 3 then it gets a lot better. With Lector being one of my favorite characters in movie history, I'm probably being a tad generous with my 7/10.

The movie paints an interesting picture of what caused Lector to become the person that his in the later movies. It covers the most critical event in his life (I won't ruin this), which takes place in his early years and then jumps to him in his teens and his quest for revenge.

My two biggest issues in this movie were
#1 The Acting. The kid who plays a young Lector tends to over act and it hurts the performance, of course when put up against Anthony Hopkins, who wouldn't look bad? The woman that plays his aunt also puts together a bit of an awkward performance.

#2 The Aunt Storyline. It just seems out of place. It works at some points, but at others it just feels like it could have been done a tad bit better.

Overall I would say if you were a fan of the first 3 and have some time to burn go check it out, if not then just wait for it to come out on dvd.

I agree on the over-acting of the Hannibal character. I do think he did a pretty good job on some of the more intense scenes, though.

The Aunt's storyline was different in the book. In the book, the aunt and uncle adopted him and took him away from the orphanage, he didn't escape. Then after a year or two, the uncle died. In the movie, when he met the aunt, the uncle was already dead. I'm sure they modified the script because of time constraints. One thing is for sure, Gong Li is pretty hot.

Just saw "Thank You For Smoking". Great cast, funny as hell, and wildly entertaining from start to finish. 9/10.
