Enjoyable. It was similar to Liar Liar, but did not stack up IMO. I got pretty much what I thought I was going to get from it.

yikes...so i guess liar liar was a 9/10? 8-o

There's no accounting for taste. :-P

I have a few problems with the overall plot that either weren't explained or I'm too stupid to catch
EVE is on Earth to find vegetation but why does it shoot at any signs of normal life like the roach and Wall-E? Is it because EVE knows they can never go back? Then why bother looking?

i thought wall-e was pretty good by normal standards but sub-par by pixar standards. also i'm pretty sure EVE is just programmed to defend herself in those cases. when she senses a threat, she fires at it.

I'll let Ebert explain the significance of this movie (beyond it being a very good movie):

Akira Kurosawa's "The Seven Samurai" (1954) is not only a great film in its own right, but the source of a genre that would flow through the rest of the century. The critic Michael Jeck suggests that this was the first film in which a team is assembled to carry out a mission--an idea which gave birth to its direct Hollywood remake, "The Magnificent Seven," as well as "The Guns of Navarone," "The Dirty Dozen" and countless later war, heist and caper movies.

Kurosawa is a great director and i suggest watching his other films.

Aye, this is one of my all-time favorite films too. That as well as Rashomon and Throne of Blood.

9/10 for me as well. I haven't seen Rashomon yet tho, but i want to. It seems like jsut as many people think SS was better as think Rashomon was better.

The Wrestler- 9/10

Great, great movie that is well worth anyones time...dont need to be a wrestling fan to enjoy this. If you like a good drama that gets you wrapped inside the life and struggles of the main character( mickey rourke in this case- who does an unbelievablely good job) then its definately worth watching

Haven't seen it yet, but the trailer looked good and I dig the ROH product placement too. ;-D

The more reviews I read on The Wrestler the more I really wanna see it. I wonder if it's not as much a commentary on Micky Rourke's life as it is professional wrestling.

bedtime stories- 5/10- it was good for kids i guess and there were some funny parts but it had "Aldous Snow" from sarah marshal and he played the same type of character. Even with the non-funny parts i would chuckle just thinking of him going, " O, take my eyes, no the shirt" :-b . The only thing that made no sense was how there was no explination as to why the bedtime stories actually happened to Sandler...they just did :-?

Couldn't agree more. As stated in the other thread I'm a longtime wrestling nerd so this movie struck a specific chord with me. Mickey Rourke was flat out fantastic, as was the whole movie. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
