Get Shorty

6.5-7/10

Maybe the environment (loud/christmas) in the house I was in made it not as memorable.

They filmed a good portion of The Good Shepherd in my backyard basically. Not literally, but I could see the lights and crew from the back window of my house and also got to walk through the house they filmed in at one point b/c I know someone who handles the permits for the town.

Make it three of us.

I know it looks like a sappy woman movie, but I think the funny parts might make this one worth seeing. ;-D

I will definitely check it out. But with Rocky and a slew of "guy-friendly" flicks in theaters it will have to wait for DVD. Just taking the opportunity to rib Big Pimpin. B-)

Pursuit of Happyness looks like a sappy, woman movie? It's a man and his son completely down on their luck with no one to rely on but each other, but somehow they triumph and go on to a life of fortune and fame.

If anything, that is the opposite of a chick flick. That's a modern-day version of men doing what they do best: providing for their family. This is the kind of movie a father goes to see with his son, leaving mom and the sisters at home to watch Bambi. It's a father and his son playing catch out on a diamond, but this is masculinity on a wholly different level. Lives were at stake in this game of catch.

I can't wait to see it, although I'll probably wait until video since the theatre would offer very little to enhance the viewing experience of this movie.

Just saw Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Probably one of the better movies I've seen in a while. Robert Downey Jr.'s narration is frickin' hilarious. I'd give it a 8.5/10

Also just watched the Jackass 2 DVD. Some funny deleted scenes, but unless you're down for seeing more weiner and balls, I'd recommend circumventing the additional 'unrated' footage.

Just saw Good Shepperd. I thought movie was solid, but I was expecting a lot more. It's a little dry for me and I waited for a climax that never came.
