Seems they are looking into this...again. For or against?

for...if its done properly.

they are looking into using it in limited situations like disputed home runs and that kind of stuff. the audience at home often knows the correct call before the manager/umps are done arguing about it. they may as well have someone sit in a booth watching and radio the correction to the crew chief. if you do it right, it shouldnt make games that much longer, if at all.

Against. It works well in football, but I don't like it in baseball. Games are long enough without adding these interruptions to it. I like that mistakes can be made, for or against your favorite team, and it is all part of the game. Just adds to the excitement for me.

im for it. def not for ball and strikes, but just for homers and extremely close out/safe calls. as long as it doesnt become a once an inning occurance, i think it would be great

For...but only for homeruns.

Missing a homerun call could completely change the game. There's no reason for something like that to happen.

I'm for it, but not for "judgement calls." So, no for balls and strikes, no for safe/out calls. But definitely for it if it's a black and white "the ball went over the fence or didn't" call. So I guess for HRs only. ;-D

i'd like to see them implement an instant replay system for borderline home runs. i'd compare it to the nba's instant replay on plays at the end of quarters. i think it would work for the mlb in that capacity.

I am for instant replays on plays that involve scoring whether it is a strike/ball call, questionable call on the play, HR, etc.

Don't conceivably all calls involve scoring? Say it's a strike three on a 2-2 count. Wouldn't you have to review it because the guy would have another pitch where he might hit a HR or otherwise knock a run in? Where do you draw the line?
