I would have voted for Gardenhire just for regular season but given what Leyland did through the playoffs, etc, I think he deserved it more.

I was partial to Randolph (suprise, suprise) but Girardi wasn't a bad choice by any means.

Same. I thought Randolph should have gotten it, partially because I am biased, but Girardi is a good choice. People will blow off Randolph because of the offense but he was a miracle worker in several other aspects of the team. Definitely strange that the NL MoY can't find a job.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
