2006 playoff team out in 2007?

Postby bigken117 » Sun Oct 29, 2006 6:17 pm

Which 2006 playoff team is least likely to have the same success in 2007 and miss the playoffs?

Vote now :-)

I think it would have to be the A's...losing Zito will hurt them, Frank Thomas can't possibly repeat this season (can he?) and I anticipate Anaheim adding a big bat to help protect Vlad. Plus 30 starts from Colon and Jered won't hurt them either. They are my early unofficial pick to win the AL West.

I agree. However, the A's always seem to wind a way to do it...

Probably the A's (although I didn't have them in the playoffs this year) but if I had to choose another I would sat St.Louis (Rolen and Edmunds both seem to be getting pretty darn old though they will likely prove me wrong).

i can't see the tigers repeating what they did this past season. like the poll says cleveland is on the rise and chicago and minnesota are definate contenders.

But atleast the Tigers are loaded with great Young pitching who should get better. Although, I admit that I think they will be more of a threat 2-3 year from now.

I think the Tigers are definitely least likely to make it back. They are in by far the toughest division and you could argue that the young arms may take a step back next year.

I can see the tigers bumped and the A's taking the WC. Hopefully Harden will fill in for Zito and Thomas will resign.

Rolen's not that old.

Personally, only the mets and yankees look like locks. Think NL West will go to either the pads or LAD, but the other is pretty likely to miss out. ALW looks like the Angels' to lose, ALC could go any of four ways.

Mets a lock? Unless they sign one of the big 2 pitchers (OR maybe both of them) The Braves have a better team top to bottom
