I've been knocked out twice in my life. Both times for dental work because I metabolize novocaine extremely quickly (the max amount they can give in a 24 hour period wears off in 30-40 minutes).
Anyway, they used gas to put me to sleep for my wisdom teeth. I had never been put to sleep prior to that, so I was really nervous. Woke up at home. Don't remember my girlfriend (at the time) driving me home or anything. Just woke up on the couch. Not a whole lot of pain. A little, but they give a prescription for painkillers, and I was back to work in a couple of days.
Didn't turn out to be that big of a deal at all.
Just follow the directions!!!! No smoking, no carbonated drinks, no booze (kills the antibiotic, which could lead to infection!), etc. I hear dry socket is worse than the actual surgery! I didn't wind up with dry socket, but the stories are pretty scary.
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
