2 answer the 2 of ures, yes bench all you have a good enough lead...
i have a similar thread and basically the same question
http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/foru ... p?t=237805
I am winning in my H2H matchup this week, today is the last day, the score is 12-1-1
Here are the categories and respective scores: (only pitching, that's where i need the advice, min. ip is only 5 ip)
W 2-0
L 0-2
SV 5-3
K 16-7
CG 1-0
WHIP 0.84-1.30
ERA 1.89-3.52
(me: 19 ip,3bb,13h,4er & opponent: 7.66ip,2bb,8h,3er)
I am winning all 7 pitching categories...
Basically I countered his strategy all week...His strategy is to start solely his closers which is all he has (nathan, jones, saito, & ryan)...i countered with my 5 closers; mcclung, mastny, wickman, otsuka, and f. cordero...i only started c. carpenter this week and got a W and CG which i was hoping for...so basically my strategy has worked out so far so good...
Now here's the $1 million dollar question...Since i have a comfortable lead here, do i bench my 5 closers today so there is no risk of any blown saves and make his closers beat me? i can realistically only see him coming back and tying or beating me in saves out of all those categories...thoughts?
