17 RBIs is great production? It's true he's a better hitter vs. LHP but he gets so few ABs vs. LHP that strategy is pretty impractical.

And you can bench him vs. RHP starter only to find he connected vs. LHP reliever.

Bottom line, if you can absorb the mediocre BA, Hall pays off with great HR numbers for 2B / SS. You just gotta let Bill be Bill.

Too bad he's not stealing bases this year. A measly six in '06 vs. 18 last.

I couldn't really care less about his struggles considering I snagged him off my WW in my 14 team keeper. :-)

I would say that he obviously has no trouble with lefties, but with improved protection in the comings seasons I think his production should increase substantially. He really looks as though he has the makings of a tremendous hitter and I believe he is going to give Hardy a good competition at SS.

Sure, he hits lefties better than righties, but he's still hit 18 home runs and has 4 SBs against righties. I don't agree that he's been cold lately either. In the last month, his line is 17 R, 7HR, 16 RBIS, 1 SB and .271 BA.

This guy has earned a spot in my starting line-up and I'm not taking him out. Considering he plays 2B, was one of the last people taken in some drafts and went completely undrafted in some smaller leagues, this guy is definitely a steal.

i agree...i have no idea why there is so much complaining about him...i drafted both him and cano but soon had no use for cano as hall has had a breakout season...he was a great steal for me as well ;-D

Same thing for me....I have Billy Hall playing everyday in my lineup while Cano is sitting on the bench.

First place in my league, so I guess he's not hurting me too badly...

Strangely enough, he's been walking a ton lately. Including today's game, he has 18 BB's in August vs 15 Ks. He already has more second half walks than first half in less plate apperances. Either he's getting more selective, or pitchers just aren't throwing him anything to hit. If he is getting more selective at the plate, watch out.
