Oswalt/Zito

Postby bo jackson » Wed Feb 19, 2003 4:52 am

My other dillema? For my ace, do I go for the Cy Young (Zito)or the future Cy Young(Oswalt)?

And for my first pick 12th overall, 20 team league...do I get and ace pitcher or a quality SS? I could take Zito or Oswalt and hope Jeter is still around for my second pick, or take Nomar or Tejada, and 'settle' for a Halladay or Mulder to anchor the staff.

Any suggestions are surely welcome.

Zito and Oswalt are both young and you'll enjoy great seasons with any of both, I'd rather settle for Nomar or Tejada or even go with Zito/Oswalt and Mulder/Halladay!

I wouldn't draft for position scarcity that early. Take Magglio or Bobby Abreu or if you like shallow positions Piazza. Don't bother with a SS yet except for Arod.
The odds of the AL MVP coming from the American League are looking pretty good.

I would Tejada over either pitcher - then as far as Zito/Oswalt - IF either one is there - go for Zito. If not, I'd say Mulder over Halladay but not by much.

Oswalt is the way to go. With that line-up behind him, how will he ever lose?

Roy Oswalt has a sick arsenal. He should edge out Barry Zito, who will be more reliable.
