According to MLB Radio and ESPN , Ryan Shealy and Scott Dohmann have been traded from the Rockies to the Royals for Jeremy Affeldt and Denny Bautista.

We hope the Royals would give up both pitchers for him unless they planned on playing him regularly right away. Affeldt and Bautista both have plus stuff. Maybe the Rockies can do more with them than the Royals did.

According to ESPN, Julio Lugo has been traded to the Dodgers for Joel Guzman and Sergio Pedroza.

Now this one is a surprise. Lugo said he didn't want to be moved off shortstop, but that seems certain to happen in Los Angeles. He can play second in place of Jeff Kent for now and then maybe move to third base once Kent returns. Especially after already getting Wilson Betemit, this is a very heavy price for the Dodgers to pay. Guzman remains an excellent long-term prospect, and Pedroza has a chance to become a regular corner outfield.

If Soriano walks, Bowden should be fired.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

thanks guys ;-D I'm surprised by the shealy trade.

Lugo traded means upton might be in todays game... also means there is another spot though I'm thinking a pitcher rather than DY at this point.

Oh, excuse me. I'm just looking to see if the Red Sox made any moves today. Any idea?

Waiting..........

Once again we look like second-class chumps getting sand kicked in our face :-t

It's not like we have a team capable of making the playoffs or anything :-P

Congratulations Yankees, White Sox/Twins, Angels/A's. Your playoff tickets have been punched because the 2006 Boston Red Sox will be sitting at home.

Still waiting......

Actually there's been quite a bit of fantasy-worthy changes made. Maddux, Lugo, Shealy (if they play him), Abreu, Wilson (depending where he fits in), Linebrink...quite a few more. It's been a pretty eventful couple of days.
