Meanwhile, I'm -25 innings, so I'm doing well and maybe could do some intelligent spot starts to help give me more innings. I was wondering how important is this and could it hurt him significantly come the end of the season?

He's fairly far ahead of me in W's, outs, and K's, and I'm behind in saves, but have almost closed the gap (down by 4). If he maintains his pace I should be able to make up some ground, no?
I'm also trailing in ERA and WHIP which I know his maxing out won't help, but it gives me time to lower mine (I'm last in WHIP, second to last in ERA, but have been lowering both due to some recent acquisitions and guys pitching better).
