Best Guess on Harden Tonight?

Postby d18Mike » Tue Aug 26, 2003 2:56 pm

A month ago, Harden was treated like the second coming of Sandy Koufax on this board. During the last two weeks he has been a Fantasy leper.

Any Roller Coaster performance fans care to guess at his performance tonight? Price is Right Rules: He/She who is closest without going over wins.

The hitter asks the owner to give him a big raise so he can go somewhere he's never been, and the owner says "You mean third base?"

I have him and am leaving him benched tonight because his velocity was apparently down and the idiot Oakland coaches messed around with his mechanics after his first few starts, thinking he's tipping his pitches. If he gets roped again tonight, he is going to the waiver wire. If he pitches well, I will keep him and start him against the DRays this weekend. It's hard to tell whether the last two debacles are just the result of him facing two top hitting teams or the result of the mechanical adjustments.

I am hoping for a win and maybe give up 2 to 3 runs

I have him...on my bench
I'll wait til he has a good outing since I'm ahead of pace on innings.

It doesn't matter how alive the A's bats may be. Even if the A's score 10 runs and he gets a win, it won't be much use if Harden gives up 7 runs and walks 7 hitters again.
