Baseball league opening for 2004

Postby roto rooter » Tue Aug 26, 2003 10:29 am

We have an owner leaving this year (moving away and getting married) and would love to get an experienced player to take his place.

We are a live draft in the NYC area, however, so unless you're in this general area, it probably wouldn't be practical. The rest of the year is all done through e-mail, phone and our great stat service, All Star Stats.

If the logistics seem O.K., we do have a very good league. Around for 20 years, AL-only 9 teams. You'd take over the last place team, but he did dump and has a few interesting players for next year.

Scoring is 6x6 with OBP and Losses as the extra two categories. Standard $260 budget with a $100 FAAB for in-season roster management. $300 in-season salary cap to minimize dumping. $200 flat transaction fee (no charges per move). 4 minor league draft rounds with a 7 player maximum farm.

We have a good group of competitive, knowledgeable but not cutthroat guys in the league. The draft is a lot of fun and the website provided by All Star Stats makes taking care of your team and communicating with everyone very, very easy.

I hope it sounds interesting and would like to hear back.
