I cant think of a better pitcher for the past two months than him.

Since July 2nd- 10 Games started,7-1W/L,5 CG,ERA- July-1.80,Aug-0.84,WHIP-0.90,BAA .193

That doesnt include tonights CG,W,1ER,9k performance. You cant ask for anything better from a guy. He easily is my best FA pickup of the year.

Werd. I agree on the best FA pickup, especially since I acquired him when I got Wolf, who have basically offset one another to make for a mediocre pitcher. :-[

That one loss he has, too, I believe was a CG.

What was his deal with his 4+ ERA early in the season? Not that I'm complaining, since he's been a stud ever since I picked him up. How do you guys feel about all of these CGs for this year and next?

Livan has been looking real good out there. As to next year....a lot of it will depend on where the Expos play home games.
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.

Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.

From Fantistics.com:

Aug. 26

Livan Hernandez hogtied the Phillies on Monday allowing 1 run in a complete game 12-1 win for the Expos. Hernandez allowed 8 hits and a walk while striking out 9 for his 14th win of the year against 7 losses. He lowered his ERA to 2.88 on the year. One look at Livan in our Pitching Intelligence Logs shows more Blues than you’ll find in all of St. Louis. Eight straight quality starts, seven straight allowing 2 runs or less. He’s allowed 1 run or less in six of his last seven outings, a span in which he’s allowed 42 hits and only 8 walks in 57.2 IP. He was 4-1 in July with a 1.80 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and .197 OBA. He entered last night’s game with a 3-0 August record with an 0.84 ERA, 0.84 WHIP (Hint: if a pitchers ERA is as low as his WHIP, that’s generally a good thing). And a .190 OBA. Hot.

I feel your pain, pkarr. The #1 team in our league picked him up on Week8! He also picked up Loaiza on Week3. I feel sick to my stomach. And I missed out on Beck, too. :~(
