I don't like the slob, but can't say it's a bad move yet considering what they pulled off last year with Chacon and Small and the fact that Ponson has had a better history than those two. Doesn't get me excited at all though and I expect him to do nothing.

WFAN just said that the Red Sox had moderate interest in Ponson, and the Yankees, being paranoid as they are, jumped on him first.

I have a similar story with a fat chick in high school. Didn't work out too well in the end.

Sweet now the yankees have the fattest oldest worst pitchers ever.

Hopefully Pontoon's only job will be mopping up after one of the other yankees startes gives up 14 runs in the 1st :-t

I hate the Cardinals. Ponson becomes, and stays sober and actually pitches to the level of Mulder and Marquis (not good nonetheless) and Ponson gets shipped out for...nothing. I actually think this is because Tony LaRussa jumped all over Ponson's a$$ for hitting a couple of White Sox batters when the Sox were beating the Cardinals something awful. LaRussa pretty much called Ponson out when it was obvious that Ponson had no idea where the ball was going. He had been struggling of late but La Russa had to make a stupid point. I guess I am just on a rant because I hate Tony La Russa and the Cardinals.

Oh Cashman, I pity thee.

Seriously, I have always stood by Cashman and his moves, but I believe he needed to make a much better move then this guy.

I hope he does good enough that the Yankees decide they don't need to make a move, and then he implodes after the deadline. ;-D :-] ;-7 O:-)
