A's rotation rearranged

Postby jdh » Wed Aug 20, 2003 8:09 pm

Apparently, Harden now starts against Pedro tomorrow night. Mulder will miss at least one start. Hudson is bumped back to Sunday because of his hand, which should have been Mulder's start. Halama starts Saturday.

Mark Mulder - S - Oakland Athletics Aug 20

Mark Mulder is expected to miss at least one start with his hip injury.
Mulder flew to Arizona today to see a physical therapist. John Halama will probably start on Saturday for the A's. If Mulder is going to miss more than one start, then Justin Duchscherer could be called up to replace him in the rotation.
Tim Hudson - S - Oakland Athletics Aug 20

Tim Hudson, hit on the hand by a line drive on Saturday, was scratched from his scheduled start Thursday.
Rich Harden will take his place against Boston's Pedro Martinez on Thursday. Hudson is now scheduled to pitch on Sunday, which would have been Mark Mulder's start.

well, now we see if harden can live up to the hype. This is his first real pitchers duel, and I hope he does well because I'm starting him.
