Won't even matter. eligbility is 5 starts or 10 games played at a certain position.
i believe that a couple of weeks ago i had berkman move to the outfield during a game and get credit as an OF.....but he did not start in the outfielder.
Berkman has been OF eligible all year...
in my league he has to play 10 games in the OF to qualify at OF for next year.
he did that by moving to left field from first base during a game.
HE DID NOT start the game in the OF.
He played 50 games in the outfield last year. He has been eligible for OF this year already. How did he gain eligibility this year if he already had it?
I am talking about gaining eligibility FOR NEXT season...NOT THIS SEASON!
he has to play 10 games there to qualify for next season.
5 games played at 1B/OF will allow him to qualify at those positions for the current 2006 season.
Berkman did it.
Hafner has not. He is only curently eligible at DH.
Hafner is one game shy of being 1b eligible in my league FOR THIS SEASON but he will need 5 more games to qualify @ 1st base for the start of NEXT SEASON.
Some players like Willingham qualified at catcher but had to play 5 games in the OF to become an OF this season. He played over 10 games there so he will be an OF in MY LEAGUE next season in 2007.
