Depends on the Mets' plans I suppose. If he keeps the job for the rest of the year, definitely go with Milledge.

He is starting in RF tonight for the Mets.

Nady took a fastball to the ribs last night.

There is also speculation is that Bannister will be on the 60 DL to make room for Milledge.

Could this be a showcase?

This is odd but in a good way. The Mets could have called up Diaz or they could have used 'Stache or Woody in RF for 2 weeks. Instead they choose to start Milledge and start his arbitration clock. The fact that they are willing to start his clock makes me think this may be more than temporary.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
