NL ROY award should be the battle of pitchers, but what about the AL?
I didn't see any pitchers. :-D

R. Baldelli 62R 9HR 57RBI 18SB .303
H. Matsui 57R 12HR 78RBI 0SB .297
A. Berroa 56R 15HR 53RBI 8SB .293
M. Teixeira 40R 17HR 53RBI 1SB .260

Baldelli has been trailing off I think.

I think Matsui would get this because of the Media.

I'll say that Baldelli will get it, but Berroa's numbers are the best so far. The last 2 months will probably swing the vote to a favorite.

If MacDougal can keep his ERA under 4 and get to the low to mid 30's in saves, he should win ROY. A rookie pitcher closing games during a pennant drive is a huge accomplishment.

That's a good point. :-? IF the Royals win the pennant, then Mac should get some consideration. Hmm.....interesting. :-?

I totally missed him. Thanks for bringing that possibility up Jdh! ;-D

I'm going with Matsui. Besides the media, he has also had the best season. I think its garbage that he's eligble for it; I'm still mad that Ichiro stole it from Soriano, but since Matsui is eligble he'll win.

Next year, they should definately change the rule, so players like Ichiro and Matsui are rightfully ineligble for ROY.

you have to say macdougal, this kid is amazing, i know he's screwed up a few times, but he will be a great closer in the future and to save for the royals?? Even though the royals wont make the playoffs, I think this kid deserves it. Matsui wouldnt even have half the rbis he has now if he played on another team, baldelli isnt the same hitter he was in the first half, berroa just started hitting, and so did texieria so i think he should win/

Good point jdh :-) I missed him, he should be in the mix if he turned around his bad performance lately. I'm gonna add one more option to the poll for "others".
