Time to drop Ensberg

He had a great 2 month run, but he's been awful lately. He's been batting only .163 since the break and hit .244 for all of July.
His home/away AVG split is .389/.200
He's playing at home this week, so if I don't start to see some life, it's time to show him the door.

I knew he had slowed down, but I didn't realize it was that bad. Thanks for the update! ;-D

I picked him up for this week in Houston as well due to his home hitting numbers ... but I'm ready to cut bait if he doesn't pull his weight.

I'm confident a good home stand will get him back on track.

Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the update! I just slipped Nevin into the Hot Corner spot in my lineup, and relegated Ensberg to the bench.

I just traded ensberg and Brendan Donnelly for Jason Isringhausen to shore up the saves and have plugged Nevin and Bill Mueller in his place. I think the blum/ensberg things is never going to resolve itself with Williams at the helm so trying to figure out when to play him was way more trouble than his stats justify.
