Very true. The flow of the draft always shapes my picks. ;-)

Oh yeah, I've been totally burned by pitching this year. Whether due to injuries, inconsistancy or players pitching for teams that don't score, I've been burned.

I picked 7th and took Randy Johnson (waste to this point). I latter went on the draft Matt Morris (Injuried and inconsistant), Kerry Wood (gives up two runs and loses 1-2), Barry Zito (you know the deal), Prior (hurt), Beckett (should have known better) and Mark Mulder (thank God I hit on one).

Not that my offense has been better, when the draft was over, I looked at my starting pitchin' and my offensive core of Shawn Green, Tejada, Eric Chavez, Bagwell (can't complain about last month), Torii Hunter, Abreu and Mike Sweeney and thought I had a good team.

As you might assume, I'm in dead last in my league which is killing me because I've consistantly competed very well. Through assorted moves, I've closed the gap between myself and the pack but now I'm sufferinig threw Manny's hammy, Soriano's 2nd half decline and slumps from young players like Matos. Oh and I didn't realize before trading for him that Castillo had hip surgery before the season. I need stolen bases and put Brian Roberts in for him last week and Luis picked up 2 SB in the course of two days while sitting on my bench. Just been that kind of year.

I'm haven't given up but I can't say I'm not starting to lose a little interest.
