Corey Patterson can run. He's an above average outfielder. He can hit for power.
Corey Patterson has no plate discipline. He is not walking any more this year than he has in the past. His strikeouts are down a bit but once the league realizes that he's not selective those will spike back up. Once they spike back up he's a .260'ish hitter at best with a low obp. Is he useful even with those numbers? Certainly! Anybody that can swipe bases and still put up some power like he can is useful. But he's not the guy he's playing like right now.

then dies in the fall
