i liked the maturity i saw out of claussen in his debut. i mean, starting for the yanks is not an easy experience, and he looked really confident. i was hoping he had a future here.

but, if aaron boone can play to some of the hype i've heard, we just traded quality to get quality. i didnt like venturas play this year, so if boone shows to be a a significant upgrade this year and next, and we are able to sign him long-term, i won't be that upset.

Except for the idiots with IQ's hovering around room temperature, there are very few Reds fans who have "crap" to say about Boonie. You'd have to look pretty hard and reach pretty far to have a legitimate beef with him, the guy plays hard every day and is a class act both on and off the field. It would be great to see him take his game to another level as a Yankee, much like Paulie did when he left here.

Sad days in Cincy.... :-[ but good luck to AB

From what it sounds like, Aaron Boone has the characteristics of a winner, ala Brosius, Tino, O'Neill, Cone. I like adding that to our team. That's a great intangible. Raul Mondesi didn't have it and thankfully he's now gone.
