So what do you guys expect for him rest of the year? How many more wins and K's do you think he will get and where does he fit in the rotation with the recent trades the giants have made???

Does Rueter's recent move to the DL affect Foppert any way in a good way or bad??? I could only see this has providing a better opportunity for Foppert to get more starts and increase his value. Am I wrong to assume this????

ditto :-)
But I think he is Giants's fifth starter when Rueter was playing, so he should still get enough playing time either way.

He's shown flashes of sheer brilliance but I think basically suffers from your standard rookie syndrome -- maybe getting a little tired? maybe not concentrating at every moment? (recall that game where he was cruising through 7 then gave up a few runs.. still won but it was kinda a mental thing). But yeah, he's been K'ing people a lot more recently and I'm also tempted to pick him up, simply because I'm a sucker for Bay Area players obviously. He just hasn't had that much experience in AAA, so I'm not that worried for the future.

Look out next year though -- a little more polish and this kid can be something special ;-D
