Is it time to drop Lidle?

Postby icalderus » Fri Aug 01, 2003 4:27 am

I know this question may sound ridiculous. But I was hoping to let him ride some pine and get his value up by doing better. He just gave up ass again and hes wasting a slot on my team where someone can produce. I am thinkin of hitting the wire and picking up foppert at this point. No one will trade for him and hes piching like sh*t. What do you think boyz?

No it's not time to drop him. That passed like a month ago.

A look at what you could possibly be dropping throughout his career..

I traded M.Morris for Lidle,Cameron 2 days before Morris got smacked on the hand. At the time i felt like i was giving up more than i was getting in return but with career numbers like that from a 2nd half guy i felt the way Morris was pitching it was well worth the risk. Cant get any worse for me now that the other guy is w/o Morris for a few wks. Me personally i'd hang onto him a few more starts, but it looks as though im the only one who feels that way.

Jack, you are not the only one here. Lidle's career midseason split is ridiculous. I personally don't really like Lidle because of the split, but he actually had show some small signs of turning around. I wouldn't drop him just for the sake of dropping. In your case though, it may worth it to pick up some wildcard like Foppert by dropping Lidle. :-)

I would hold onto him as well for a few more starts and just see what happens. Although I like Foppert a lot, I just think that Lidle has more potential for THIS year for you than what Foppert would.
