Konerko is on Fire!!!

Postby Leiter Fan » Thu Jul 31, 2003 9:46 pm

Konerko has just hit his third home run in as many nights!!! I am SO glad I took the gamble that he got his swing back a few nights ago and picked him back up!!!

Since the All Star Break, he now has 5 homers, 19 RBI's and at the start of play tonite was batting .348 with a 1.032 OPS!!!

Anyone care to wager on whether he can keep it up til the end of the season?

I found him the other day at the bottom of our WW...Pulled him up from that pit and slapped him in at my utility spot... B-)

Let just hope the fire keeps burning...

You have to dig pretty deep to find him. He put himself in such a hole in the first half that Yahoo still only ranks him at 529.

Konerko, my replacement 1B for Sweeney and future Utility man is tearing it up. I'm like a proud father, waiver steal. :)

I don't think I'd drop Huff, who has been pretty steady. However, depending on your roster, you can always move Huff into a different role, since he has eligibility at several positions, and then pickup Konerko. I'd need to see who else you have though.

I wouldn't drop Huff for him...but if you had a lesser pitcher...I would definately grab him...

And the fire continues burning!!! Fourth straight game with a homer!!!

This almost makes the first three crappy months of his season worth it!!!
