Boone will be a free agent at the end of the season. It's a good trade for the Reds, Claussen will have a nice future.

Mike Francessa on WFAN in NY made a good point: This was one of those times when Steinbrenner should've been reeled in.

If he does, he probably won't have much value. The Reds aren't gonna give him much run support.

I suppose this is both good and bad for myself, the Aaron Boone fantasy baseball owner. Where's he gonna bat...6-7?

2B Soriano
SS Jeter
1B Giambi
CF Williams
LF Matsui
C Posada
3B Boone
1B Johnson
RF Garcia

He's gonna get more runs, more RBI, maybe a few more big jacks, but less steals. Crap, I just dealt Pierre and I'd rather get the steals from Boone. Time to go pick up Jacque Jones...

I wish the Yankees would put Boone above Matsui or Posada. It's just a wish though and it's probably not gonna happen.

He gets better evey year. And he has 40, 40 Potential.

At least potential to hit 40HR. He is young he is a stud

The reason this is bad for baseball is not because the Yankees got richer. As a Sox fan, I don't like it, but expected it.

It's bad for baseball because the Reds were more concerned about money that prospets. They turned down Youklis and Fossum and instead to Claussen and cash.

As Peter Gammons said, Reds fans probably want Marge back running the team. Sad, sad, sad.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.

That is sad but at least she put a decent team on the field.
Plus I miss the dog.

This sucks. I hope something goes wrong with the deal so we can have Claussen back. I don't care how good Boone is; I want Claussen! :-C
