How do I figure out how many runs a team...

Moderator: Baseball Moderators

RUNS = (INN*ERA)/9

I think.

ERA = Runs Allowed * 9 / Innings Pitched
6.95 = X * 9 / 22
6.95 = 9X / 22
152.9 = 9X
17 = X
X = 17

Yep, but no need for the parenthesis and the order doesn't matter. I do it as ERA/9*Inn which is in fact the same thing but I like to convert from ERA (earned runs per nine) to earned runs per inning first. I usually store that in the calculator's memory then multiply by innings pitched. That way if I want to find a different era based on a different number of innings pitched I can get back to the er per inning with the memory recall option.
