Two bad starts (and they really weren't THAT bad) and people are kicking Santana to the curb. It's simply unbelievable given what this guy did in the 2nd half last year. He just needs to adjust to the switch from the BP to the rotation. That's it... Put him on the bench for now, I suppose.

But make no mistake about it:

Santana rocks! ;-D

well said kcs i agree with you

He didn't "suck" in his last start. He pitched well overall, but got rocked in one inning. He also had a pretty low whip(1.09) compared to his era(7-something).

Getting rocked in one inning means he sucked.

Just to note:

He'll have THREE more starts versus DET. Sunday, Thursday and once in Sept...

Same reason I'm hanging on to Kyle Lohse...

NO PERFECT GAMES THOUGH... Dimitri Young can have a couple solo-HR's and SB's along the way

I would gladly jinx him but the owner of him is in last and has him benched, so I don't care how he does. You're lucky this time :-D

I have several reasons to jinx him:

(a) I dumped him for Jerome Williams days before they made the announcement that Mays' rotation spot was in jeoprady, and based on that, the biggest ass in my league claimed him off waivers; and

(b) I am facing Mr. Ass this week!!!

So, I hope I put such a jinx into him that his next start mirrors Pavano's start against Boston where he failed to retire a batter!!!!!! <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>
