Latest trade rumor:

According to sources, the Pirates offered Brian Giles to the Phillies, but demanded a long list of top prospects, including Gavin Floyd, in return.
The Phillies quickly turned the offer down. It is not known if Giles told the Pirates he would be willing to play for the Phillies or any other teams not currently included in his limited no-trade clause

Another deal around the corner for the Cubs:

If the Cubs are able to pick up Matt Stairs from the Pirates today, either Troy O'Leary or Lenny Harris could be released.

ya, they are definitely wheelin and dealin.

I live in the Boston area and it is funny how all these trade rumors are flying around, and yet the two most recent deals flew under the radar. It was a complete surprise to find that we had acquired both Sauerbach and Williamson. There had been no rumors of this deal previous to the deal being made.

As for an Odalis Perez trade, I just hope it isn't true. He is a bum, and no matter who the Sox give up, it would be giving up too much.

Actually, Perez isn't that bad, he just doesn't get run support, like nomo.
