Dunn since the ASB, in case you haven't noticed

Postby Quaker » Thu Jul 31, 2003 2:43 am

In 14 games since the All-Star break, Dunn has been hitting .306. He has also 'only' struck out 10 times in those games, as opposed to 100 times in 88 games before the break. Maybe he'll have a break out August and September?

I've started him the past few games, after I had benched him since the beginning of June.

Make that .321 since the break. To all you Dunn haters, I think he's going to do well to finish out the season. He's a talented player, too talented to hit .200. Besides, the Reds are HIS team now. With Boone and Guillen gone, and Kearns and Griffey hurt, Dunn will have to carry the team. And the new manager is actually batting him in a spot that makes sense- cleanup.

I expect him to mature a lot over the season as he takes the role of the leader.
