Since that 2-inning 6ER game, lots of people have been saying that he's going down.

Well, he just beat the Unit....What can you say now? B-)

Chinch...this kid is not going to implode anytime soon. He may have a bad game, anyone can...but Willis has absolutely filthy stuff and you haven't seen his best yet. Wait till he fills out a bit and gets the heater up toward 95.

I live in Las Vegas, where the books have gotten rich forever taking $$$ from guys who keep fading some guy cuz he's "due". Anyone trying to beat Willis right now is a fool.

I tried to tell everyone that it was the rain that got Willis two starts ago. Hope everyone listened. ;-)

I don't know why, but people freak out on young pitchers -- much more so than with older ones. One bad start and people are beyond themselves with panic. I don't understand it.

As an aside, Santana is another guy who people all seem to be bailing on without much justification. All Santana needs is a little time to get acclamated to being a starter again and he will be fine, too.

People need to look at these young pitchers case-by-case and quit hitting the panic button with a bad game or two. It's silly. Willis has filthy stuff, as does Santana. While they might have a bad game on occasion, these guys are pedigree horses. Chill out detractors.

I'm still a Willis detractor. He can't keep it up. Call it a gut feeling or something like that.

I didn't know Willis had detractors. The way I see it, his numbers speak for themselves.

Yes.......... so far. That doesn't mean he can continue to put up the same or similar numbers.

I've had a gut feeling that the Red Sox were gonna win a world series for 20+years. Trust me, don't depend on gut feelings.
