Gammons was pretty pissed about the trades the Reds have been making. He really didn't look happy lol.[/quote]

Everyones been bashing Bowden and Boone, but these deals are bad. Guillen has some market value. At this rate, the Reds will deal Boone for Orosco.

Kinda obvious- it goes up- unless you're in an NL-only league :-D

I disagree. He would be hitting at the back end of there lineup, this would probably cut into his sb's and wouldn't help his AVG. the hr's will probably be about the same and the RBI might go up just a little but that is about it.

Maybe true, but his trade value improves greatly. Playing up the beneficial effect the Yankee lineup has had on other players should help in trading him. His SB's will certainly decrease, but ANY spot in the Yankee order is great for RBI's.

and runs scored.
I'm a Yankee fan (ouch, don't call me names I don't even know you) and all this Claussen talk is bad news in my opinion. George wants to beat the Sox so bad right now it seems he'll do almost anything. While getting Boone would be great for this year (Ventura is not good, I'm sorry), I'd much rather keep Clausen with the upcoming departure of at least 2 starters after the year.

Where will Ventura end up if this deal goes down? He's too good of a 3B to just sit the bench, and could be an impact player on a team like the Brewers.

Is it just buying the title? Mets had the second highest payroll and look at their team...

He's possibly one of the best sports reporters around. As my friend Transomgrifier said, trade rumors are allways unreliable!

Boone is a Yankee, traded for Claussen and cash . Yanks also got Gabe White.

I don't know how much it helped the Yankees, but it apparently blocked the Mariners from getting Boone :-/

So now what happens to Ventura? They got a half hour to trade him
