Uh, unless I'm mistaken, they have a few guys named Jeter and Soriano already manning their middle infield......

Unless you think Steinbrenner can talk A-Rod into playing right field???

The Mets have at least shown some signs of improving with the player development that occurs in their everday roster.

Anyway, what about Reyes? I thought he was supposed to be a premier SS, so where would A-Rod play? 3B? Nah- thats all Wiggington (sp?). :-D

Just messing with you Leiter Fan- there's always next year.

We could just do with Reyes what you guys did with Soriano - move him from short to second! :-D

Let me say that I think there's absolutely no chance AROD is traded whatsoever.

However, there's been talk of the Yankees signing the Japanese SS Matsui and moving Jeter to third. So, if anyone could get Arod, the Boss would, and would move Jeter.

No chance it happens, though.

Yes he does. Contrary to popular belief, Arod's contract is not for 10 years and 252 million. It's a 7 year 171 million dollar contract. The last 3 years are Arod's option if he wants to stay or not.

My understanding was that IF they sign Kazo for next year, Jeter would stay at SS, Soriano would move to LF and Kazo would play 2B- b/c his arm is said to be too weak for SS. I hope they don't sign him though.

Anyway, the Yanks won't get A-Rod; it can only happen if George decides that wants to stick it to the league again, and further say f*** the luxary tax. :-D They don't have the prospects to land A-Rod anyway, a first in recent memory.

However, IF it happened Jeter or A-Rod would play 3B.

Yeah, that was rather convoluted.

I'll simplify. Arod won't be traded.
