A-Rod considering trade!

Postby Super GM » Wed Jul 30, 2003 8:50 pm

We might actually see Arod switch teams! I just read on ESPN that he's considering a trade...

Maybe he'll come to the Mets, now that Steve Phillips is gone.

Why would he go from one losing team to another? He said he's frustrated with the Rangers losing all the time....

I can't see him and his HUGE salary going anywhere- unfortunate since I'm about to trade for him. I don't know that any team has the money and prospects combination to even think about landing A-Rod. Doesn't A-Rod have some clauses in his contract that allow him to become a FA after certain years?

We were saying the same thing about Mike Hampton's contract last year, and look what happened. All at takes is a little creative accounting.

The only team I could think of that could and would cough up the cash for him would be the Yankees. :-[
