From Rototimes:

The Padres said they will be more aggressive in their free agent shopping this offseason, increasing the liklihood that they will not attempt to make a deal for Brian Giles (OF) Pit today, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "It's a low probability that we'll make any trades (today)," Padres general manager Kevin Towers

I like San Diego's future outlook. When their pitching comes together and a few of their star minor leaguers make it to the bigs, they'll be nasty.

Is Giles the most underappreciated star of our generation? Ths guy rakes year in and year out! I still can't believe the Indians traded him.
