His value is skyhigh and "Georgie Porgie" is after him. I wonder how much cash he'd cough up to get Vladdy.

maybe shipping out mondesi was done to clear a spot for vlad....i can't imagine MLB allowing that to happen.

in terms of the above trade, it looks ok.....i'd value maggs pretty close to vlad right now (due to the uncertain future of his back) and the other guys probably fill needs for the respective teams.

What's the tussle? It's not a vetoable trade. I'd definitely want the Vlad/Javier combo, but Magglio isn't chump change. Magglio is almost equal to Vlad, except he doesn't get that many steals and he has less of a chance of ending up in the Yankees lineup. They are both fairly young superstars though. Frank Thomas looks like he will probably be good for the rest of the year, just who knows beyond that? Same for MacDougal, he isn't guaranteed to have a closing job next season. He probably will have it, but Vlad and Javier are locks for next year.

the tussle is the others think that Vlad is way better than Magglio. I was on the Vlad/Vazquez side, but it was offered to me, so I took it. Others are trying to veto it.

No way that is vetoable. At this point in the season Mags is just as valuable as Vlad. Neither is going to steal that much, Vlad is an injury concern and Mags is a 2nd half monster. If this is a keeper league it is more in favor of Vlad/Vasquez but still not vetoable.

if a trade that is one sided is OFFERED to someone, it shoudl never ever be vetoable in my opinion.

Anyway, you don't veto anything in a keeper league in general ...
