The Chicago Cubs have aquired a new outfielder. I'm sorry to break it to you it's not Brian Giles, it's not Rondell White and it's not J.D. Drew either. It's Doug Glanville.

Cubs acquired outfielder Doug Glanville from the Rangers for outfielder Jason Fransz and cash.
Glanville should replace Trenidad Hubbard on the roster and take over as the Cubs' center fielder against left-handers. NL-only leaguers desperate for speed might want to pick him up, but he won't have a lot of value. Fransz was hitting .262 with 9 HR, 42 RBI, 67/23 K/BB and 4 SB in 267 AB for Single-A Lansing. He's not much of a prospect, but Glanville wasn't going to help the Rangers beyond this year.

There's still time Dhc. :-D
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

I actually like this trade...It gives the Cubbies a good L/R combo in center and helps solidify the bench...which has been horrible....(plus it gets rid of O'Leary... :-D )....

Troy O'Leary! Oh yeah, I remember....he's the one that hit the most home runs in the majors last year. Great player! Can't believe they just gave him away for Glanville..... ;-)

Before the confusion goes to far...Hubbard lost his spot for Glanville...O'Leary gets chucked when Goodwin gets off the DL...Now we got to find a way to get rid of Lenny "insert ugly comment here" Harris.... :-P

Hey...Does ATL or OAK need a back up 3B...
