Oswalt and Surhoff land on DL....

Postby cincyreds » Wed Jul 30, 2003 4:15 pm

but Yahoo hasn't updated to show it yet in my league.

Oswalt has been a real disappointment this year, but I still like him.

Surhoff, well he is a veteran and he was .337 for me.

Hopefully Yahoo will update my league and as well as others that aren't so I can pick 2 sub players.

Man, how come Surhoff never hit like that for the Braves?

LATEST NEWS - July 29 - Previous News
Orioles placed outfielder B.J. Surhoff on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left quad. The Orioles are letting Carlos Mendez fill in at DH in place of Surhoff and David Segui tonight. Still, unless someone else gets hurt or traded, Mendez probably won't be worth picking up in AL-only leagues.

LATEST NEWS - July 30 - Previous News
Astros placed RHP Roy Oswalt on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right groin. The Astros certainly won't declare Oswalt out for the season unless they absolutely have to, especially since the right-hander can have the surgery after the end of the season and still be 100 percent for spring training. It's likely that Oswalt will give it another try after sitting out two weeks.
