Check out my Closers!

many of us are having difficulty finding saves these days. here is the RP team that I drafted...........

Mike Williams (setup)
Scott Willamson (probable setup)
Kelvim Escobar (starter)

I am trying the Red Sox earlier philosophy of bullpen by committee. my RP team now is...........

Shigeto Hasegawa
Scott Williamson
Justin Speier
Cliff Politte
Francisco Cordero

not exactly your all star releif corp. Not only that, but having all of these guys takes away from the rest of my team.

I guess I am now paying for all the good luck I had last year at closer. Last year, in a 12 team league, I was the last team to pick a closer (Urbina), in the really late rounds I got Eddie Guardado, and of course, I made the best free agency acquisition of the season (Eric Gagne).

Ouch - I feel for you. Just lost Williams and Williamson myself...

Yeah, on one of my teams, I had Benitez and still have Williamson. I also have had to ride Hasegawa for a bit hoping for saves from him in that same league. I have Politte on the bench, waiting to see what happens.
I stayed away from Mike Williams completely, thinking he was overrated (he and Mesa were my top 2 "scary closers to have on your team" entering the season, and I don't mean that in a good way).

Sasaki has already started his rehab assignment in the minors, so you're about to losr Hasegawa shortly. So you better keep your eye on what's going on in Pittsburgh and Cincinatti.

I'm sure this guy in my league, would be more than happy to throw him self out of the window right now.

He started out with Urbina, Looper and Williamson

He traded Looper to me for Mike Williams

Urbina was traded to Florida and lost his closing privleges

Now Williamson was traded to the Red Sox for set-up duty.

His closing staff now: Matt Mantei and Rod Beck....

Poor guy! 8-o

Same thing here with me. I started out with Mantei, Benitez, and Rivera and am now stuck with Cordero, R. Wagner, Reitsma, and Shiggy. This is after both fantasy trades and MLB trades.

This season will make sure that the "big" closers go very early in the draft next year.

Taking closers early isnt wise. Look at Benitez and Nen this year. Closers are erratic.
