quick question

Who was the guy who was supposed to be the replacement for Randy Johnson in Seattle 7 or 8 years ago? I remember he was really tall, and he had an amazing K/9, great stuff. He stopped playing (I dont know the reason), but I do know he was in the Seattle farm system and he was a top prospect.

What was his name?

Thanks.
