Really? You hate undroppable dudes? You going to release Larry Johnson halfway through the season?

I think i've got a league i would like you to join...

to keep people from cutting thier best players in Public Leagues, my guess is to discourage double ownership or sore-loserness (we had a guy in my fantasy hockey league cut his entire team when he missed the playoffs)

I'm guessing it's to prevent morons from dropping great players, or someone from saying, 'screw you guys, I'm going home' and cutting their whole team, thus greatly disrupting the balance of the league.

Eliminates colusion. Example. Your pal in a money league is in second place by a few point and you're in dead last. He has first waiver wire priority. You drop Poulos, A-Rod, Vlad or another star to put him over the top.

Also, I find that it also serves as a safeguard in public leagues. A guy gets ticked and dumps his roster throwing the entire league into chaos.
Having undroppables mitigates that, but only somewhat.

The problem is that the list is usually set at the beginning of the year and rarely (if ever) updated. It's not a bad idea in principle. But it is usually ill-kept and becomes nonsensical. I can't drop Matsui -- but I can drop Beltran?
