HELENA, Mont. (AP) -- An 18-year-old pitcher who was hit in the head by a batted baseball died Saturday.

Brandon Patch, a pitcher for the Miles City Mavericks, was hit in the fifth inning of an American Legion game against the Helena Senators on Friday night.

Patch was motionless on the ground for 20 to 30 minutes before being taken to a hospital. He was later flown to a hospital in Great Falls and placed on life support.

Patch died early Saturday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

A game scheduled Saturday between the two teams was canceled.

I feel for his family...I hate when I hear about stuff like this... :,-(

Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Let's hope that the greiving family can let their son go and not try to blame people for their son's death. It's horrible when things like this happen, but it's even worse when innocent people related to the incident get sued, or jailed.
Going to huge someday.
