Ty Wigginton - Almost 2B Eligibility

Postby The Guru » Fri Apr 28, 2006 12:53 am

Wigginton is 3 games away from having 2B eligibility in Yahoo.

He'll continue to start there as Cantu is on the DL with a broken foot. How valuable is he at 2B in say a 10 team league?

I think if he puts up 25ish HRs he could be a nice option at 2B to get some extra power at probably the weakest position this year. Is he capable of that many HRs? Is he even any good or is this just a hot streak? I don't know much about him.

Wiggy boy?

I don't think he's gonna keep up what he did so far. The PIRATES sent him to AAA last season. That should say something.

He might be a nice 2B option for those who have lost Cantu after he gains eligibility.

Where is Upton? I think him and Delmon might stay in the minors forever.

I think it's fairly obvious by this point that the Pirates have no idea how to gauge talent. :,-(

I don't know...if he keeps hitting, why not give it a try if he's 2B eligible. I have 3 leagues where my 2B production is horrid.

Ride him while he's hot! But unless you're in a very deep league with some MI sports included, let alone a 10 teamer, I see no value for Wiggy on any team after this hot streak is over.
